Shift of Season – Autumn

The shift of seasons can become uncomfortable not just on the body but on the mind & heart too! This is due to the shift of the elements .. we moved from the dominance of the fire element (summer) to the wind element (autumn)!

The fall brings with it a predominance of air element. The wind is showing in all of its forms from a simple breeze to colder and harsher ones harboring a certain emptiness that can leave us feeling exposed and a little raw, ungrounded, anxious & stressed. Cooling temperatures pull our blood inward to our core as our body scrambles to protect itself from heat loss. Even our extremities (hands and feet) lose access to blood and warmth.
Just like our blood (life force) pulls inward to the core so must our energy. It’s time to shift inwards-from how to we show up to the world to how we show up to ourselves – and adjust our rhythm in life (sleep cycle, food,practices ..) for a smoother transition and better preparation for winter !

When it comes to our body, our aim is to detoxify & cleanse from all wastes and toxins accumulated during summer while supporting optimal digestion and accumulating warmth!
In general, shift from eating raw vegetables to warm ones, cooking them mushy and soft; turn your greens into a green power pesto sauce ; eat more of soups and sweet foods & garnish them generously with ghee or oil.

🥬 Go for green,bitter foods to help detoxify the body, restore its energy & vitality by providing it with fibers & a wide range of vitamins and minerals (leafy greens such as dandelion هندبه برية , kale, mallow خبيزة، قرص عنة، avocado…)

🍊 Start accumulating warmth for the season ahead through yellow, orange foods (pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots, perresimon, orange , lemon, apples) They improve immune function & are beneficial for our gastrointestinal tract, digestion, and the gut microbiome. They help boost our mood and accumulate the needed warmth to make it through winter.

🥜 Include more roots and nuts into your diet, they’ll load you with the proper fats and warmth needed during the coming cold.

Your energy field, heart , body and mind are all but one. If you are having trouble working on the heart and mind start working on your body through your food and discipline , they are all interconnected .. once one flows the other will folllow …
🏵️ Feed and nourish yourself with proper food and love (close circle and family)
🍥 Tend to your nervous system; help your body release through breathwork or slow intentional body movement,soak yourself in a warm bath, say no to whatever might be draining you , fill yourself with whatever sparks your hearts
🍁Attune to natures cycle | Wake up with the sun , rest under your favorite tree, surrender , shed , seek guidance and breathe the breathtaking colors of autumn in!
